Hello, friends. Thank you for visiting my website.

So, who is Robert D. Jansen? I’m 36 years old and from North Carolina, USA. I’ve been here my whole life. I love North Carolina – its nature, people and cultures. We invented Sun Drop, Pepsi, Texas Pete, Bojangles, Krispy Kreme, and probably hundreds of barbeque sauces – so yeah. North Carolina is pretty great.

I’ve designed, built and managed websites for a long time, both for work and personal projects. Lately, though, I have learned a lot and have started focusing on creating the best websites out there, especially for churches. The creativity and technical skill involved in creating an outstanding website is the result of a great deal of hard work, trial and error, and – I like to think – raw talent. It’s a lot of fun to have the freedom to be creative. And seeing the result of that often tedious work – a beautiful, user-friendly and fast website – is extremely rewarding.

In all I do, I strive for my faith in Jesus Christ to inform and guide my decision-making and the actions I take. I try to always approach major decisions prayerfully and use God’s Word to frame my thinking. That isn’t always easy, and I don’t always do it, but it’s something I continually work toward.

While I love to travel, I’m also a bit of a homebody. There are very few foods I don’t like. Luxurious and fancy stuff can be amazing, but I also enjoy making use of something old and underappreciated. Coffee is my lifeblood. Writing is my release. Politics and religion run deep in my spirit. I love learning about other countries and cultures, especially those in isolated and remote places. And, most importantly, I could probably subsist entirely on deviled eggs.
